Day 1: Tangier -Asilah – Chefchaouen
We will be at your reception in the airport of Tangier then we will transfer you directly to the hotel in Chefchaouen, dinner and accommodation.
Day 2: Chefchaouen – Volubilis Meknes – Fez
After breakfast we will drive to the rural areas where we will see the hills full of olive and fruit trees. We will pay a visit to the holy city of Moulay Idriss and the Roman ruins of Volubilis wich are a famous geological site. After that we continue to the city of Meknes where we will take lunch. Then we will take the road direction to Fez.
Upon arrival at Fez, we will take you to your Riad.
Day 3: Fez guided tour
After breakfast we will start the activity of this journey of this 9 days trip-private tours of Morocco. This day is dedicated to explore the cultural capital of Morocco through a guided tour of the mystical Medina of Fez where you can feel back in time. The Medina of Fez is full of ambiancy and activity. We will enjoy its street walking. We will visit many important touristical sites as like as tanneries.
Day 4 and 5: Merzouga (Erg Chebbi dunes)
After breakfast, we will take you for an excursion through the sand dunes near the border with Algeria. It will a real opportunity to take photos and see the black volcanic rock formation. You can also visit the nomadic families and see their lifestyle marked by simplicity and generousity. After that we will pass near a small Berber village calling Tamrdanite before reaching Khamlia wich is a small village where you can enjoy a party show of the spiritual local music of Gnawa played by Berbers of black ethnicity.
On our way to the hotel you will appreciate the wonderful view of the lake of Ait Sareji which attracts pink flamingos and many other birds. Then we will return to the hotel to take lunch. After that we prepare ourselves for a great adventure by a camel ride to access to the heart of the desert where we will spend this night of our private tour in Morocco in a sahara desert camp. Onthe way we will make a stop at the top of great dune to appreciate the spectacular sunset. Then we will continue to reach the desert camp to spend this night in a berber tent. Enjoy this special night under sky full of thousands stars and under the sweetness of the rythms of local music and around a campfire.
Day 6 : Merzouga – Rissani -Erfoud – Todra gorges- Boumalene Dades
The morning, we get up early to see the magical sunrise an to take breakfast. Then we will drive direction to Rissani, passing through the Ksours and Kasbahs of Tafilalet. Rissani is the old capital of Sijilmassa and the origin of Alaouit dynasty that gouverns Morocco. We will visit the Zaouia of Moulay Ali El-Charif and the mausoleum of the Alaouit dynasty. Also we will take a walk to discover the Souk of Rissani. Afterwards we will continue to Arfoud and Tinjdad where we will stop for lunch.
After lunch break we will continue to Tinghir where you can walk among the magnificent oasis of palm trees. We will spend the night in a Kasbah.
Day 7 : Boumalne Dades – Kelaa M’Gouna – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech
The private tours of Morocco 9 days departure from Tangier continue. This journey of our trip takes us to the Dades Gorges wich are one of the most beautiful and impressive canyons walls in Morocco. It is an ideal place to practice trekking. Then we will pass through the Valley of Roses where the locals make different products that they offer to their visitors. Next, we will continue to Ouarzazate passing through Skoura.
We will make a stop for a panoramic view of the Kasbah of Taourirt and also we will visit the Atlas cinema studios. Then we will visit the world Heritage site of Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah named by UNESCO in 1987. This Berber Kasbah has been the filmset of more than 20 films. At lunch time, we will stop at a local restaurant . After that we will continue our journey through the High Atlas Mountains passing via the Tizi N’Tichka pass (at 2,260 m of altitude). When arriving at Marrakech we will take you to your Riad to spend this night of this tour departure from Tangier.
Day 8 : Marrakech guided tour
This will be a full day to immerse yourself in the Red city, Marrakech. We will visit the most beautiful palaces and monuments of Marrakech such as the Bahia Palace, Saadian Tombs, the Koutoubia mosque and the Majorelle garden. We will also visit the famous souks where merchants present their products.
We will stop for lunch break in the Medina of Marrakech in a local restaurant offering a large variety of local and moroccan dishes.
After lunch we continue our exploration of Marrakech. At the end of the afternoon we will take you to enjoy your night in the famous Jamaa Lfna square. We will spend this night in a local riad.
Day 9: Transfer to Marrakech airport
After breakfast we transfer you to the airport or another location.
