Day 1: Arrival at Marrakech
We will pick up you at Marrakech airport then we will transfer you to the Medina of Marrakech(old walled city). Accommodation in a Riad in the Medina of Marrakech.
Day 2: Exploring the red city Marrakech with through a guided tour
The City Sightseeing Tour includes the following key sites, based on a half day or full day tour, Souks(markets), Jewish quarter, Bahia Palace, Koutoubia Minaret and gardens, Saadian tombs, Ben Youssef Medersa(Koranic School). Day 3: Marrakech – Ait Ben Haddou – Dades gorges
At 8 am we will meet you at your Riad or hotel to start the activity of this Morocco travel advisory – 7days tour. We will drive via the Tizi n’Tichka pass (2,260m above the sea level), the highest mountain pass in Morocco. We will make a stop to enjoy stunning landscapes and to take coffee or freshly squeezed orange juice while enjoying magnificent panoramic views of the mountains and Berber villages around.
After that we will continue the way to arrive at the famous Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou. A guided tour of Ait Benhaddou to explore this world Heritage Site classified by the UNESCO. It is one of the most spectacular ksours (fortified villages) in Morocco that once stood on the trans-Saharan caravan crossing the Atlas to the fondouks of Marrakech. Also this famous kasbah was the fimlset for more than 20 international movies. Then we continue the road to reach the city of Ouarzazate known as the Hollywood of Africa thanks to its cinema studios.
We continue the itinerary to the Valley of Roses passing through the Palm Grove of Skoura with its authentic kasbah dated from the XVII century and we will follow the valley of the thousand Kasbahs to reach the Dades gorges where we will spend this night of our private trip. Dinner and accommodation in a charming traditional hotel.
Day 4: Dades gorges– Todra gorges– Merzouga
The morning after breakfast,departure to the Sahara Desert of Merzouga through the Todra Gorges where we will make a stop for a walk to explore these magnificent and narrow gorges. Then we will continue driving to arrive at Erfoud through the palm grove of Touroug where we will make a stop for lunch. Upon arrival at Erfoud, known for beeing a fossils and fossilized marble world capital, we will visit a local fossil workshop to allow you to have an idea about how plates of fossils and fossilized marble are transformed into real objects of art . After the visit we will continue the way to reach Merzouga known for its fascinating dunes of Erg Chebbi. A beautiful extension of undulating dunes which you will explore through a camel ride. We will spend the night in a nomadic tent with dinner in a fun atmosphere in the sahara desert camp.
Day 5: Merzouga – Rissani – Nomad family – desert tour
In the morning we will go to visit the village of Khamlia wich is famous for its Gnawa music native to the great African Sahara. We will visit some deserted mines and we will share a cup of tea with the Berber nomads in the oasis of palm trees to allow you to have an idea about vberber nomads and their life style.
After that we will drive through the black desert (Hamada) and following the path of the DAKAR Rally. Then we will continue to arrive at Rissani the old capital of Sijilmassa. This very old city was the crossroad of old caravans. We will explore its souk wich is the most authentic and traditional souk in Morocco and the largest one in the south of Morocco. In this market you will find many kinds of crafts, food and animals. Market days are Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday. Also, Rissani is known for the Madfouna (Berber stuffed pizza) that you will taste at the home of a local family.
After that we will return to the dunes of Merzouga in the afternoon. On arrival, camel ride to access to the Sahara desert camp to spend the night in a well equipped camp under the sky full of thousands of stars and under the sweetness of the rythms of local music and around a campfire.
It will be the opportunity to see the spectacular sunset and to explore the secrets of the Sahara and its limitless horizons.
Day 6: Merzouga – Rissani – Draa valley – Ouarzazate
We will get up early the morning to see the magical sunrise when the color of the dunes and the shape of their shadows are combined in an incredible sight. After breakfast, we continue the Morocco travel advisory 7 days tour. This journey leads us to Ouarzazate, the pearl of south of Morocco. We will pass through Rissani, the Draa Valley passing through the village of Tazzarine (featured in the movie «Babel»). On the way we will make a stop for a picnic under the shade of an acacia in the wild desert.
After lunch break, we will continue the way along the old caravans path to discover the real Draa Valley with its huge palm trees and ancient villages.

Day 7: Ouarzazate – Telouet – Marrakech
After breakfast we will start the activity of this day of your private tour in Morocco. City tour of Ouarzazate known for its cinema studios that have hosted many international film productions and wich gave it the name of “Hollywood of Africa”. After that we will drive along the Ounila Valley and at just 40 kms from the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou that we will visit, we will reach the Kasbah of Telouet wich was a crossroad of the caravans from the Sahara over the Atlas Mountains and Marrakech.
It was the seat of power of the El Glaoui famil. King Moulay Hassan gave them political power in south of Morocco and the High Atlas Mountains. The Glaoui was almost powerful as the Sultan himself. The palace can still be visited, but it is increasingly damaged and is slowly collapsing. At 2010, works were underway to restore the property. If you have the opportunity on Thursday, we will visit a traditional souk in the Atlas village. Lunch in the Atlas Mountains.
After that we continue the way crossing the Tizi-n-Tichka pass to reach Marrakech late in the afternoon or early the evening.
